Why do bees need our support?
Bees are fascinating animals! They’ve always been present in our families. But their needs are changing rapidly due to challenges that have emerged in beekeeping: diseases (which weren’t previously present), climate change (droughts, pollen shortages), intensified production, and the use of chemicals in agriculture. Bees sometimes require human involvement, including the provision of supportive and medicinal products.
When we began our beekeeping journey, there were three medications available on the Polish market for treating varroa – all based on chemical substances. Within a short time, we introduced nine new ones to the Polish market, including eight based on natural substances, also suitable for use in organic beekeeping. We wanted to reach a target group that had clearly defined needs, and beekeepers were struggling with access.
high-quality products, professional assistance, and advice on maintaining high health status in your farms.
This is an ambitious approach that requires determination, courage, skill, creative thinking, and excellent market knowledge. It’s a challenge, but our team has it in their blood!

See what they tell about us
"I decided to work with VET-ANIMAL for a very simple reason: the products they offer, which are available on the market, work. They are tested and used in my apiary, and I can confirm that all the products I use, such as BeeVital (VarroMed), SILVECO+ for bees, and NOSI-VET for autumn feeding with syrup, work and I can wholeheartedly confirm their effectiveness."
"I observe my bees and see how their needs have changed over the years. I have strong bees, but sometimes they need my support. It's important to me that what I give them is natural and effective. I've been using VET-ANIMAL bee products for several years now, and the bees are grateful!"
"I decided to use VET-ANIMAL products in my apiary because they offer comprehensive apiary care, including veterinary products, bee-feeding products, such as bee supplements and various amino acids. They offer a wide range of products needed to run a healthy apiary."
"Applying the solutions proposed by the Bee Health Center has an impact on the honey production and condition of the bees in my apiary."

Frequently asked questions
Is it necessary to provide bee-supporting products? Or isn't what they collect from fields or crops sufficient?
If your bees are healthy, have access to fluctuating honey flows, are not exposed to pollen or other nutrient deficiencies, and are not struggling with viruses or pathogenic bacteria, there is no need to provide them with supportive products.
VET-ANIMAL bee products were developed based on the knowledge and experience of experts: scientists, biologists, veterinarians specializing in insect diseases, and beekeeping specialists with beekeeping colonies struggling with these problems in mind. Unfortunately, it is increasingly difficult to guarantee beekeeping conditions that avoid these problems.
The climate is changing and so are the annual rhythm of bee activity and access to honey flows. Droughts are becoming more frequent and problems with varroa reinvasion (a vector for virus transmission) are emerging. These are serious threats to the bee ecosystem. Remember that, due to new threats, beekeeping must adapt to these changing conditions.
Why is AMINO-VET called a pollen substitute?
AMINO-VET, like pollen, contains a high concentration of amino acids derived from plant substrates, hence the product’s green color. It is also enriched with vitamins essential for bees. The combination of individual ingredients acts as a biostimulant, beneficially impacting the bee colony. The product is administered when natural pollen is deficient, for example, during periods of drought or lack of or insufficient nectar flow.
I usually use a smoker to calm the bees. What's the difference between using a smoker and CALM-VET to calm the bees?
Using a bee smoker is a traditional method of calming bees. It has many supporters. Care should be taken when using this traditional method to avoid inhaling smoke, which can exacerbate or trigger asthma symptoms or cause other illnesses. We developed the CALM-VET product for beekeepers who wish to avoid or for health reasons should avoid, smoke from burning wood chips or certain plants. It is also an excellent method for visiting several apiaries in a single day or for apiaries located in forests. CALM-VET is an ecological alternative to the traditional bee smoker and a way to balance odor in the hive environment without harming the health of the beekeeper or the bees.
I feed my bees with sugar. What are the real benefits of using Invertofix? Will I actually reduce the cost of feeding my bees?
The product contains natural enzymes for converting sugar into invert syrup.
Benefits of using Invertofix:
- The syrup does not crystallize during overwintering in hives.
- No harmful HMF in the prepared syrup.
- It does not burden the bees’ digestive system; its pH is similar to that of honey.
- It reduces the level of “overwork” the bees experience while processing the syrup.
- Healthier and longer-living bees (also due to less overwork).
- Reduces the cost of feeding bees by an average of 30% – I encourage you to calculate it yourself! The savings calculation formula is available in the product instructions.
I don't see prices for bee medicines on the website. Where can I purchase them?
Pursuant to the Pharmaceutical Law of September 6, 2001 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 686), entities authorized to purchase prescription veterinary medicinal products from veterinary pharmaceutical wholesalers are veterinarians and other veterinary pharmaceutical wholesalers. In the case of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, this also applies to other entities that have reported their sale of over-the-counter veterinary medicinal products to the Provincial Veterinary Inspectorate, such as pet shops or beekeeping stores and have submitted such a notification.
If you require further assistance with this matter, please contact us. Our team will be happy to assist you.
Why is it necessary to use demineralized (distilled) water when administering Silveco+?
Minerals found in drinking water reduce the effectiveness of the active ingredients in this product. Therefore, it is crucial to use demineralized (distilled) water.
When in the year can you start treating varroosis with VarroMed?
Treatment should be applied at the beginning of the season, when temperatures are above freezing, during colony growth and when the number of naturally shed mites exceeds one per day. Treatment should be repeated twice more (up to a maximum of three treatment cycles) if more than 10 mites are detected on the bottom liner within six days of the first treatment cycle (maximum three cycles). Early initiation of V.d. control treatments prevents high levels of mite infestation in the following months.
Before starting treatment, read the product leaflet and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
